On September 17, 2017, a new memorial was dedicated in ceremonies at Sillegny, France, as a memorial to the men of the U. S. 7th Armored Division's 17th Tank Battalion's Company A, who fought in the town and its immediate vicinity in September 1944. The offficial ribbon cutting was by Roger Hubley, son of veteran Dale Hubley (Company A, 38th Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division) who was wounded in combat at Sillegny 20 Sep 1944. Roger and his wife Melody were hosted by Jean-Marc Tabard, president of the Sillegny and the Lucky Seventh organization, the group that built and erected the memorial.
