The memorial commemorates the battle in which American troops tried to cross the Seille, River. It will be a peace memorial, with U. S. units on one tablet and German on the other. The location will be near Sillegny, France, which lies just to the west of the Seille. The date of the dedication ceremonies has not yet been set.
