During World War II, the Army’s Information & Historical personnel conducted hundreds of interviews of troops immediately after significant combat events. The interviews of the 106th Infantry Division were:

All of these records are now available. I have transcribed and indexed some of them. The rest are available as photocopies of the original interviews and maps – or the first copy of the transcribed and indexed version if I happen to be working on that when you order it. (They will all be transcribed and indexed, after I have completed writing the history of 38th Armored Infantry Battalion, probably in about 2002.)
